How it Works

Once you select a Kidney for Life participating center:

  1. Patient and donor complete a simple cheek swab test that is done through the mail.
  2. Cheek swab test will be used for high-resolution tissue typing.
  3. Tissue typing results can help patients find donors with the best genetic match.

Participating in the Kidney for Life initiative does not guarantee you will get a better match or that immunosuppression will be reduced.
